Half Term 2
We have been working hard on our number formation this half term, each week we learn a new number formation and have a rhyme for each number to help us remember.
We have been trying hard to do lots of writing and mark making in Reception, we enjoy using our name cards to help us to write our names independently and develop our fine motor skills by exploring and expressing ourselves with different materials and equiptment in the workshop area.
We have all been bringing conkers into school that we have found at the park or while out walking. We went on an autumn walk to collect some seasonal materials and used the conkers to have a conker rolling competition in our classes. We measured who's conker travelled the furthest!
Transient art is an area of the provision that is set up in our classroom. This term we have done lots of learning in maths about making patterns and have used the transient art area to explore this skill. We have worked together as group and developed our fine motor skills through this activity.
To celebrate Christmas we took part in the Christmas nativity performance. We dressed up in our outfits, sang, danced and performed on stage in front of our families. We did so well!! We made lots of different Christmas crafts to take home for our families too.
