By the Sea
As part of their science work the children have been learning about the different features, plants and animals that can found in a coastal area. They have been identifying the natural and human-made features of the coast, including cliffs, rockpools and lighthouses, comparing these features with those found within the local area and exploring the different plants and animals that are found and how they have adapted to survive in a coastal environment.
