LEARNING MENTOR AND BEHAVIOUR LEAD

 

Salary - G7 (SCP 19-23), £31,067-£33,366 full time equivalent, Actual salary: £26,573- £28,540 (Pay award pending)

Full time (37 hours)

 

The Head Teacher and Governors are seeking to appoint a learning mentor and behaviour lead to join the Flanshaw family.

 

The Key responsibilities of the role are:

 

  • To provide behavioural support for children with specific barriers to learning and additional needs
  • To build effective relationships with pupils with SEMH challenges and support them to access the curriculum.
  • To work effectively with the SENCO and the pastoral team to support inclusion.
  • To communicate effectively with parents and carers so that all stakeholders are engaged in supporting good pupil behaviour.

 

The successful candidates must:

 

  • Be experienced in working with children with SEND and vulnerable pupils that may display poor behaviour
  • Be kind, empathetic and be committed to supporting all pupils
  • Be confident in line managing a number of staff
  • Be able to liaise with other professionals such as teachers and outside agencies
  • Be able to build good relationships with parents and pupils with SEND and vulnerable pupils that may display poor behaviour
  • Confidently run pastoral and behavioural interventions
  • Good ICT skills to effectively maintain records
