Parent Hub is a free app that allows us to individually and privately message parents, send out channel posts, manage slips and payment for school trips

At Flanshaw Junior Infant and Nursery School we use an online journal provider called ‘Tapestry’ to collect and store your child’s electronic ‘Learning Journey’.
Tapestry allows you to login with a secure username and password so that you can view photographs, videos and observations of your child’s learning.

50 Things to Do is based on the simple notion that quality time with family, indoors and outdoors, is a great way to support children’s development. That’s why we’ve put together 50 fun, low or no-cost activities for you to explore and enjoy at your own pace.

The Best Start in Life provides advice and support for your child's development. This includes support for pregnancy, to child care through to starting school.
School Readiness

Read Write Inc Phonics |

At Flanshaw Junior, Infant and Nursery School, we follow the validated systematic synthetic phonics programme, Read Write, Inc.
Read, Write, Inc. is a method of learning which is centred around letter sounds and phonics, blending them together to read and write words and using these learnt sounds in their reading and writing. Using Read, Write, Inc. the children learn to read effortlessly so that they can put all their energy into comprehending what they have read. It also allows them to spell effortlessly so that they can focus on composing what they write.
