Y6 Tuck Shop Enterprise

Pupils in Year 6 are invited to invest £2 at the beginning of September each year to own a share in the school's Tuck Shop business.

This investment, coupled with a lot of hard work running the Tuck Shop for Years 3-6 throughout the year, allows them to turn their £2 stake into a healthy profit of around £25-£30 each to fund a fun visit to Flamingoland during the summer term after SATS.

By investing in this way, pupils gain an insight into how business works and it helps them to build skills for the future, such as team-working, problem-solving, leadership, money management and creativity.

Engaging, educational and great fun, it also delivers key elements of the National Curriculum, specifically around Maths, English and PHSE.  It gives pupils a taste of small enterprise, they learn key skills which they can put to good use through the rest of their educational journey and beyond the school gates.
