Each year we give the children in Key Stage 2 the opportunity to apply for the role of a 'Reading Ambassador.' 

We have worked extremely hard to create a positive reading culture at Flanshaw and a genuine love of learning; the Reading Ambassadors play an important role in maintaining this. 

The Reading Ambassadors are managed by the Head of English and their responsibilities include:

• Organising reading events to engage more children in reading.
• Help to plan and lead the annual book Fair.
• Read to the younger children to aid their development.
• Help to keep all the school's reading books tidy and well-organised
