Rainforest setting description
Our book focus for this term is The Great Kapok Tree, a story about a man who goes into the Amazon rainforest to cut the trees down, but is persuaded by the animals of the rainforest to leave their homes alone.
The first piece of writing the children have done based on this book is a setting description of the rainforest from the point of view of one of the animals; there are snakes, jaguars, tarantulas and more! See if you can identify what the animal is in the extracts below...
