Year 3/4

This year, Year 3/4 have been learning all about rainforests! They have learned about what rainforests are, where they are located, the amazing species of animals which live in them and much more...

As part of their rainforest topic, pupils learned about the deforestation happening in the world's rainforests and then held class debates about whether humans should use the rainforests for resources or not. In their classes, pupils came to the consensus that while humans should use the rainforests for resources, we should also do our best to preserve them. Following this discussion about sustainability, Year 3/4 created their own rainforest animals from recycled materials in order to show how ordinary, household rubbish can be repurposed.

Here are some of their rainforest animals in the wild!
