Coxley Valley Stream Study
As part of our Geography topic on Rivers. The children spent half a day on an outdoor River (Stream) study with a friend of the school Rosie, who excels in leading outside learning. The children had lots of fun and took home new experiences (including hearing woodpeckers!) The day helped to practically reinforce terminology used in class like tributary, bank, meander, source, valley, flood plain etc.
