Anti-Bullying Week

Anti-Bullying Week 2023

At Flanshaw School we celebrated international Anti-Bullying Week. Each year group across school learn about different types of bullying. These topics included homophobic bullying, racism, cyber- bullying, physical and verbal bullying.

We began the week by coming to school in odd socks which was an initiative set by the Anti-Bullying Alliance to celebrate us all being unique!

On Friday each class shared what they had been learning about during our Whole School Assembly. Some classes made posters, some made up songs and role play. This helped to raise the awareness of what bullying is and what the pupils should do if they ever feel that bullying is happening within our school.

Anti-Bullying Week 2023: Make a Noise

Bullying affects millions of young lives. Too often, we are silent when we see bullying take place, silent about the hurt bullying causes, and silent when we hear bullying dismissed as 'just banter'. It doesn't have to be this way.
