Our main topic for this half-term is the Geography topic of Rainforests. The children have looked at what rainforests are, where in the world they are located and what conditions you might encounter in the rainforest. We learned that there are 4 layers in the rainforest, each with their own plants and animals, and that there are even tribes of humans who live deep in the rainforests.

In the next few weeks we are going to look at the sustainability issues facing the rainforests today and what we could be doing to help. We are also going to be researching the different groups of people who are for and against deforestation, and hosting our very own debates!
