We provide the children with regular opportunities to consolidate their leanring in the outdoor classroom.  Our staff are very passionate about outdoor learning and the pupils thoroughly enjoy developing their knowledge and learning new skills across the curriculum.  The fire-pit is used frequently for outdoor cooking and the wild-life garden is utilised in many science sessions.  Each outdoor leanring day is carefully planned to ensure that leanring activities are closely linked to our learning characters.  Outdoor learning at Flanshaw is an effective way for children to develop their teamwork, resilience and their leadership skills.
