Fantastic news for Flanshaw Eco Warriors, we finally achieved Green Flag Status! This is amazing news for our school and reflects all the wonderful things we do as a team to become more sustainable.  We have a shared vision throughout the school and it is clear to see that our pupils really do care about our planet and our future.

The Eco Warriors worked really hard last year and it paid off when we got the exciting news in the summer holidays that we had achieved Green Flag Award with Distinction.  We will display our huge flag in the hall to share and celebrate as a school.

GREEN FLAG

At Flanshaw, we are working hard to learn more about the world around us and how we can have a positive impact on the environment. We have a fantastic Eco-warrior team who regularly complete eco-jobs such as litter picking to ensure our school is always an environmentally responsible school.

In the last year, we have raised money to save the rainforests, reduced the amount of litter within the school grounds and reduced our energy usage through switching off light switches and interactive boards when they are not needed.
