Healthy Week 23/24
Week commencing 23rd October, we held our annual Healthy Week in School. The children were very excited for a week filled with active learning about all about our physical and mental health.
This year we learnt about: Diabetes awareness, healthy eating, feelings and emotions through "Super Me!" and using exercise to support our good physical and mental health. In Key Stage 1 we learned a new sport "Tri Golf" and in Key Stage 2 we learned to play Quidditch.
On Friday 27th October, we had a visit from the Chris Tawiah from the charity Sports for Champions UK, who delivered an inspirational talk on being an how we can work towards living a healthy lifestyle. We also took part in a circuit challenge with Chris where all the children in school completed to complete as many exercises as they could in the given time limit, we raised money through sponsorship for this and donated it to Sports for Champions UK. We held a TASC day in school to design a new PE kit. We accessed materials from Digibeat, a diabetes awareness charity to raise awareness.
