As part of our poetry work, the children had to rewrite known Nursery Rhymes in the style of a Lipogram. A Lipogram is a piece of writing that omits a certain letter. Try it - it is harder than you think: e.g. How do you you write an alternate to The (without using t) or of (without using o)?
Whilst the Nursery rhymes still need to make sense, they no longer need to rhyme. Here are some of the children's examples.
