Wellbeing Ambassadors
Wellbeing Champion Training 2023/2024
We had some wellbeing champion training from Wakefield Council for our wellbeing ambassadors to help support their role in school. We learnt about the NHS initiative '5 ways to well being' and wrote a pledge we wanted to follow as well as joining in with some fun and engaging activities for the afternoon.
Our Pledge
Help people believe in themselves and try to make everyone smile
Listen to those who need it, help if we can or tell an adult/ teacher
Support the children on the buddy bench at playtime to connect, build and broaden relationships and make time to chat
Mental Health Training CAMHS 2023/2024
Alice Wood from CAMHS came in to deliver some wellbeing training called 'Future in Mind'. The children took part in two sessions stretching over the whole afternoon. The training consisted of learning what mental health looks like, how we can look out for those suffering with mental health and what we could do to help them. The children completed different activities, watched video clips and engaged in small group discussions. This training has helped to support the ambassadors in successfully carrying out their JLT role.
