There are two types of light. Natural and artificial (or man-made).

Natural light occurs naturally - the biggest and most important natural light is the Sun. Without sunlight life on this planet couldn't survive. There are some other natural sources* of light - e.g. Lightning or Fireflies.

When the sun goes down or we are in a place where the Sun cannot reach, we need to use artificial light. This might include electric light bulbs or torches.
