Our attendance target for the school is 97% and we expect individual attendance to be at least 97%

The link between attendance and attainment in school is clear - the more a pupil is in school, the more they increase their attainment opportunities and success in life.

I recently had the pleasure of speaking to some pupils - "Pupil Voice" - to discuss attendance.

Many positive comments were made, such as:

"you miss fun things"

"you are letting the class down"

"you don't get any treats"

"you miss your friends and learning"

It was great to meet the children and listen to their thoughts!
