Flanshaw Infant & Junior School Meals - Feeding Hungry Minds

Our school caterers are ISS, who provide nutritious and healthy meals for pupils, meeting the Healthy School Food Standards set by the government.

For more information, go to www.feedinghungryminds.co.uk, or click the link below.

All children in Lower Foundation (Reception), Year 1 and Year 2 receive free school meals under a government scheme known as Universal Infant Free School Meals and we prefer all pupils in these year groups to eat a healthy meal in school each day. They have at least 3 different options for meals and puddings each day, including a jacket potato or sandwich option so even the fussiest eaters are able to access food they will enjoy.

Children are positively encouraged to try new things with taster samples regularly offered and we always offer them vegetables/ salad to accompany their meal.

The cost of a meal for pupils in Years 3-6 is £2.47 per day = £12.35 per week. Meals should be paid for in advance, so please ensure you top up online or over the phone on Monday each week for at least the week ahead (you can pay in advance for as many weeks as you like). We do not accept cash in the school office.

For all online queries or to make a payment over the phone, please call 01924 792 334.

ISS support teams are available from 9am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.
