Welcome and thank you for viewing our Early Years Webpage. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Mr Myers and I am extremely privileged to be the Early Years Foundation Stage Leader at Flanshaw Junior, Infant and Nursery School. Our School, provides Early Years Provision for children aged 3 to 5 Years. This includes 15 and 30 hours funded Nursery places.

At Flanshaw, we are proud that our ethos values the importance of the Early Years as a fundamental stage in child development. We recognise that play is an essential learning process that allows children an opportunity to share ideas and experiences.

Our team of highly skilled Nursery staff ensure that our youngest children receive the best possible start to their ‘Learning Journey’. Children develop positive relationships in which their individuality is valued. Staff also provide a nurturing environment to develop children’s self-esteem and confidence through meaningful interactions.

Our high-quality Nursery learning environment stimulates children’s curiosity and encourages them to play, explore and develop key life skills. This includes communication and social skills, creativity, independence and resilience. Our Outdoor provision has also been carefully planned to extend learning opportunities beyond the classroom. Children are encouraged to be physically active to develop gross and fine motor skills.

We strive for all pupils at Flanshaw Junior and infant School to embody our school values, which will enable them to become ambitious and successful lifelong learners.
