Early Years Part-time Admissions Policy 

The Governing Body is responsible for part-time admissions to the school's Nursery and agrees to follow the Early Years Part-time Admissions Policy set by Wakefield Council. 

Our school has a 78 place Nursery, this means that a maximum of 39 part-time children can be admitted per session.

Session Times:

Morning session 8.45am-11.45am Monday to Friday 

Afternoon session 12.15pm-3.15pm Monday to Friday. 

If you would like to apply for a place for your child to attend Flanshaw School Nursery, please read the information on our Lower Foundation Admissions Policy below. 

There are three intakes per year:

If your child turns three between 1st April - 31st August they would be eligible to start in September. 

If your child turns three between 1st September - 31st December they would be eligible to start in January.

If your child turns three between 1st January - 31st March they would be eligible to start after Easter. 

Application Form

We currently have places in our Nursery for 3 and 4 year olds - pupils usually start with us the term after their third birthday. 

Please complete an application form and return to the school reception or email it to reception@flanshawjin.co.uk to place your child on the waiting list.

Working Parents 30 hour Code

We currently offer a limited number of 30 hour places for working parents. Details of how to apply for your 30 hour code are below.

We will need to verify your code before a place is offered and you will need to renew your code every 3 months. Failure to do so will result in your child's place being withdrawn. 

The Nursery day for children attending 30 hours will be:-
Monday to Thursday - 08:45 to 15.15

Friday - 8.45-12.45

 
If you wish your child to attend until 15:15 on a Friday, the cost will be £12.90 per week, payable in advance.

Children attending 30 hours will need to bring a packed lunch, school dinners will not be available for Nursery children.

Charges will still apply if your child is ill or on holiday.
