As part of the their History work the children will be learning about exploration in both the past and the present. They will be learning what an explorer is and learning and comparing the similarities and differences between different expeditions. The children will be learning about famous explorers such as Christopher Columbus, Matthew Henson and Dame Ellen MacArthur and how they have changed the world.
