Home Learning Update 22/06/2020

Please find below some links and guidance for children not currently attending school: 

EYFS

Tasks we are working on in school this week:

  • Writing- Can you write each day what the weather is like to create a weather diary for the week.
  • Reading- Read your school book to each adult in your house every day.
  • Maths- Look at the number 10 and then see how many different ways you can make the number 10. (Find ten objects and find different ways to group the set of 10)

Year 1

If you completed any work last week look out for comments/suggestions in the 2do area or My Work folder. Also check your rewards (Near the 2do but top left). How well did you do?

You may find your work or your friends work by clicking on the share button and choosing Year 1 Home Learning.

This week’s targets are

  • Write a recount of Handa’s Surprise story.
  • Name and order the days of the week, months of the year and time.
  • Studying the life of Barbara Hepworth (Finish the task if not started / completed)
  • Study life at the beach/sea – save the turtles / protect our beaches.

  • Read Handa’s Surprise story. (Preparation for the writing task) [Parental support needed as there are no words in this story so lots of discussion required. You might want to familiarise yourself with the story before sharing with your child – Parent notes and questions included)  Note Youtube clip does have words - But may be nice to share / discuss without first.

  • Keep a day by day diary for the week
